How do I get started?

Quick Start Guide

  1. Upload Lildog
    Unpack the device from the box and place it on charge using the supplied charging cable. The Lildog is fully charged when the light shines continuously green.
  2. Download the Lildog app to your mobile phone.
    Download Lildog from the App Store or Google Play, register in the app, and follow the steps to add your new Lildog.
  3. Activate Lildog and choose a subscription.
    Once Lildogen is connected to your pet, you can now activate the device and choose a subscription that suits you.
  4. Attach Lildog to collar or harness.
    Once Lildogen is fully activated in the app, you can easily attach it to the dog using the Velcro strap included in the box.

Frequently asked questions

What does the light mean?

  • One green blink: Lildog is active.
  • Green pulsating: Lildog is charging
  • Green continuously: Lildog is fully charged.
  • Blue flashing: The device is ready for Bluetooth pairing.
  • Blue, solid color: The light is on.

How does the button work?

  • One click shows that Lildog is on.
  • Hold for 30 seconds to restart.
  • Two clicks turn the light on/off.
  • Hold for 4 seconds to pair via Bluetooth.

Do I need to do anything with the device before I go for a walk?

No, the device is always on and retrieves location via GPS as long as it has battery power.

When should I use the Live feature?

Live mode can be used when you need more frequent location updates on the map. For example, during a run, or when your dog has gone astray and needs to be found as quickly as possible. Live mode uses more power and drains the battery faster than regular tracking.

What is the range of Lildog?

Mobile technology gives Lildog unlimited range outdoors. Indoors, or in areas with poor coverage, Lildog works best via Bluetooth.

Can I share my access with others?

You can share access to the chip by letting others log in with the same account to which the chip is linked. Devices cannot be shared between multiple accounts at this time.

How long will the battery last?

The battery life of the Lildog varies depending on usage and coverage. If you experience low battery life, you may want to check the following:

Live Tracking: Is live tracking enabled? (Look for a small "Live" mark next to the profile picture in the app). If this is enabled, the device will update its position more frequently, which will lead to increased battery consumption. Note that this function does not need to be enabled to use the tracker, and if you want longer battery life, it is therefore recommended to have this function off.

Power saving mode: Enabling this mode will result in longer device usage time. Both this mode and the next point, GPS frequency, can be managed by going to settings and then selecting the image of the device for which you want to change the settings.

GPS frequency: You can choose different values for how often the device should update its position. When a device is first put into use, it is set to 70 seconds, but if you increase this to, for example, 5 minutes, you will find that the battery lasts longer. The pet's activity level is also highly relevant, and in areas with poor coverage, you may experience slightly reduced battery life.

The expected duration is 3-5 days, but varies based on the previously mentioned factors.

Subscription and account

How do I create a subscription?

You create the subscription in the app only after the device has been added.

How do I cancel a subscription?

The subscription can be canceled in the app by going to the settings and tapping on "Subscription" at the bottom.

How do I transfer a subscription to a new device?

Transferring an active subscription from an old device to a new one must be done by us. Contact us with the IMEI (15 digits on the back of the device) from both the old and new devices, and we'll take care of the rest. You can find our contact information at the bottom of this page.

Can I switch from Basic/Premium to Family?

If you already have a Premium/Basic subscription and wish to upgrade to a Family subscription, we can cancel your current subscription. Please note that you will not be able to use the service until you have created the new subscription. Contact us at the bottom of this page, and we will take care of it as soon as possible.

How do I log out of my account?

You can log out of your account by pressing the button in the upper right corner of the screen, selecting "Open settings", and then you will find "Log out" at the very bottom of that screen.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account by pressing the button in the upper right corner of the screen, selecting "Open settings", then "Account", and then "Delete account".

NB! Please note that this is permanent, and all data about your pets and devices will be removed from our systems. It is not possible for us to restore this for you afterwards.

Bluetooth

I'm having trouble adding the device.

If you are experiencing problems adding the device to the app, first check that there is no connection stored in your phone's Bluetooth list, which you can find via "Settings" on your phone.

Then restart the device by double-pressing the button (the LED will light up blue) and then holding the button down until the light goes out, approximately 30 seconds. The device will then blink green twice to confirm the restart. If the blue light is still active, double-press the button to turn it off.

Turn Bluetooth off and on again on your phone, and reopen the app. Put the device into pairing mode by holding the button for three seconds until it blinks blue, and then add it to the app.

Can I connect the device with multiple phones?

The device can only be connected to one phone at a time. If you want to connect it to a new phone, you must first ensure that it is not actively connected to another phone. Either turn off Bluetooth on the other phone or "forget" the device in the Bluetooth settings on that phone.

Next, put the device into pairing mode by holding down the button for three seconds until it blinks blue, and add it to the Lildog app on your new phone.
