From the box to an active tracker in four steps
Here's how to set up Lildog or Lilcat for the first time.
Get started in four steps
Follow the four simple steps below to prepare the GPS tracker, connect it to the Lildog app and get it ready to use.
Charge the device
Charge your Lildog or Lilcat using the included charging cable. The device is fully charged when the light stays solid green.
Download the app
Download the Lildog app from the App Store or Google Play and create an account.
Add the device and choose a subscription
Follow the steps in the app to add your new Lildog, activate it and choose the subscription that suits you.
Attach it to a collar or harness
Use the hook-and-loop strap included in the box to attach the device securely to your pet.
Pets and GPS trackers
Here's how to add more pets or switch a Lildog to a new tracker.
How do I add a new pet? +
- Open the Lildog app and go to Settings → Add pet.
- Enter information about your pet, such as name, date of birth and type of animal.
- Choose Add pet without a Lildog if you do not want to connect a GPS tracker yet, or Connect a Lildog if the pet should be connected to a GPS tracker.
You can have multiple pets on the same account.
How do I switch to a new GPS tracker? +
- Go to Settings in the Lildog app.
- Tap Edit in the top-right corner and find the connection between the pet and the old device. Tap the red cross to remove the connection.
- Where the old tracker was shown, you will now see an empty dotted square. Tap it and choose Add new device.
- Follow the instructions in the app to connect the new GPS tracker to your pet. Make sure the new tracker is charged and close to your phone.
